Have you looked at Biz/ed recently? Weive been busy expanding the site to include lots of new features, here are some of the highlights:

Forum is now up and running and will act as a showcase for new materials and features, it can be accessed from the Biz/ed Home Page

Publishers' Corner is a brand new feature and the first to appear in Forum. We have been working with major publishers to obtain book chapters, articles and contents pages from key business studies and economics texts

Downloadable spreadsheets from the Office for National Statistics on Average Earnings Index data can be found in the Data section Nuffield Economics and Business pages have been completely updated to include sample case studies for both A level and GCSE, take a look in Tutor Support

Tutor Support now contains many new worksheets covering: the stakeholder economy, competition, money, cashflow, market failure and help on getting the most out of Be Your Own Chancellor online

Extel Data, kindly donated by Extel, part of FT Information, financial accounts for 500 well known companies can be browsed alphabetically or by industry

Future developments

Virtual Factory This is a unique feature which has been developed in partnership with the Bristolbased Cameron (Hot Air) Balloons. You can explore how a real factory works, its entire business operation including accounts, marketing, production and management. The real life data is richly enhanced with specially written worksheets.

Company Family Trees Ever wondered who owns some of those well known high street shops? Well we've been doing some research and discovered some interesting facts. You can view more than a dozen company family trees and where possible, link directly to their web sites.

Regional and Industrial Business Focus Again as part of Forum, we are going to start a new monthly feature which will take a regional and an industrial focus on certain areas, such as Scotland, Wales, Retailing and Banking.
