Boy plays the Lotto for first time and wins pounds 9m
DAVID MOREAUTEENAGER Michael Carroll scooped pounds 9.7 million on the lottery after buying a ticket for the first time.
Michael, 19, from King's Lynn, Norfolk, bought two lucky dip tickets on "a whim" on Saturday. But today he was celebrating a pounds 9,736,131 jackpot.
Michael bought his ticket while shopping with his girlfriend Sandra Aikin, 19. He said: "I was speechless. My aunt Kelly called to tell Sandra as I couldn't put the words together. She thought I'd set Kelly up to play a trick on her."
