PORN 'STARLETS' GO UNDERCOVER

Young Irish porn stars are disguising themselves before filming...for fear of being recognised by family and friends.

The strapped-for-cash teenagers, many of them addicted to drugs, are paid up to pounds 500 to appear in sleazy films shot in the back of vans.

Unscrupulous villains approach young girls and boys outside labour exchanges in Dublin to offer "wages of sin".

Teenagers who accept are driven off in the vans where they perform lewd sex acts with groups of male and female partners.

Now many of the youngsters - worried that their parents or friends might come across the films in sex shops in Britain and Europe - are insisting that they be allowed to use heavy disguises during filming.

They usually wear wigs and large amounts of make-up to mask their identities.

One youngster said: "It would be terrible to bring shame on the family so I wear loads of make-up and a wig if I can get hold of one.

"It would be awful if your friends ever saw you in one of these movies which are very tacky. You would never live it down.

"Obviously, it would be better not to get involved in these types of things at all."

Volunteer social worker Peter Byrne said: "This is just another example of how poor, unfortunate youngsters are being exploited. It's a sad state of affairs when young kids like these should have to sell themselves to feed their drug-addiction.

"The people who make these movies should be hunted down and dealt severely with by the courts."

State-of-the-art cameras and lighting equipment are used for shooting the sordid films which are sold to sex shops, many of them overseas.

The sums paid to the kids to perform sex acts in the films are often blown on drugs within a day or two.

Mr Byrne said: "The whole question of drug addiction among teenagers should be looked into immediately by the Government.

"As it is, things are getting out of hand and the people suffering most are young kids."
