Master Woods
Taylor, AcquenettaNike Poems by Acquenetta Taylor
In a world of misconception
filled with dreams misunderstood.
Was born a prize possession by
The name of "Tiger Woods."
Against all odds he stood his ground
firm ... like an old oak tree.
But little did they know he'd steal
the show with VICTORY!...
So the game continued, and the crowd
drew near. Some hoping for the best
The boy once spoke of in the past
Now different from the rest.
As critics wrote his downfalls
His accomplishments they grew strong.
Others praised his Strength with RECOMPENSE.
They knew he'd prove them wrong.
So on that thirteenth day of APRIL
the year of ninety-seven
Went down in HISTORY a total
MYSTERY from heaven.
Again a chosen vessel
No human man could STOP.
For fate had now completed
orders given from the Top.
While puzzled faces, in familiar places
stood astonished of this DISASTER.
Came a stroke of luck a genius touch
Once a rookie, now a MASTER.
