Radiotel - New Products and Services - Optisky

Radiotel has announced OptiSky, a 'data aware' SDH/SONET multiplexer with layer 2 switching intelligence, which integrates into existing SDH/SONET networks. According to the company, it is a powerful compact system that seamlessly extends the high-speed SDH/SONET optical backbone to help operators provide connectivity services for enterprises. Radiotel also claims that with OptiSky, network operators can easily and cost-effectively expand their existing infrastructure to accommodate medium- and large-sized businesses, and allocate bandwidth of both data (packet) and voice (circuit switched) traffic as needed.
