Lana aide lays claim to estate
Peter MacdonaldCONTROVERSIAL Hollywood legend Lana Turner still creating waves four years after her death from cancer, writes Peter MacDonald.
A former aide, Carmen Cruz, says she received nothing from the $1.7 million estate which she claims Turner left her when the actress disinherited her daughter.
In the lawsuit, Miss Cruz maintains she nursed Turner through her long battle with throat cancer.
It states the onetime movie star left Miss Cruz virtually her entire fortune after disinheriting Cheryl Crane, who was 14 when she killed her mobster boyfriend Johnny Stompanato.
