SIMON EVANSGLOUCESTER demolished struggling Leeds Tykes eight tries to two.
Winger James Simpson-Daniel bagged a brace. Four minutes before the break he sprinted the length of the pitch diving under the posts for Gloucester's fourth try. Ludovic Mercier converted.
He grabbed a second - also converted - 17 minutes from time after chasing a Joe Ewens chip.
Mercier opened with a penalty. No8 Junior Paramore hacked ahead and Darren O'Leary chased up for Gloucester's first try. Henry Paul snaffled a loose ball and dashed 15 yards to bag a score. Mercier converted.
Eight minutes on it was Mercier's turn. Receiving a pass from Phil Vickery the fly-half fell beneath the uprights. He then converted.
The home side were gifted two tries - by winger Marcel Garvey and centre Robert Todd. Mercier converted both. Adam Eustace romped over for Gloucester's eighth on 66 minutes.
