WHY do people like surrogate mother Helen Beasley get involved in this vile practice in the first place? She has run to Britain because an American court has ruled that although she is the birth mother she has lost her rights as a parent. The only time surrogacy is a suitable solution is when you are helping your family or a close friend.

WHEN I first read about the British surrogate mother, I thought here we go again, another woman breaking the parents' hearts. But learning that they had wanted her to abort one of the twins and were trying to sell on the other filled me with repulsion. I hope this couple never get their hands on the babies.
