Your Letters: Suffering innocent
Diane Mitchell AberdeenshirePICTURES of sad Afghan children suffering in hospitals with no electricity or medicine are heartbreaking.
They certainly highlight the atrocities of war and compel us to question exactly what it achieves.
Although terrorism rightly needs to be wiped out, it always seems to be the innocent who suffer most.
These kids lying in their sick beds didn't do anything to deserve the pain they are feeling.
Let's hope the Taliban regime is defeated sooner rather than later. Maybe then life can get back to some kind of normality without the constant threat of fear and terror.
