BRIGHT FUTUREWHEN FUSS IS OVER
Dr PETER COLLETT Big Brother's official psychologistTHE key to the couple's future lies in Paul's reaction to Helen's new-found fame.
Helen has always craved affection and approval and sought that out from each of her housemates, particularly Paul.
Now, she is enjoying adulation on a grand scale. Everyone simply loves her.
It is hardly surprising that she and Paul have an awful lot of readjusting to do.
Helen is being watched more now than she was in the house and is enjoying all manner of new experiences. What happens now depends on how Paul handles her fame.
He is the man who survived four nominations so he is very tough and resilient. Helen is tough but dependent and may well turn to Paul for comfort once the frenzy surrounding her dies down.
If he's asked Paul will probably be supportive as he was in the house. People say he was the dominant character in the relationship but I don't agree.
He was actually quite backward in coming forward.
Helen tried to push things along, to make things happen. The only thing Paul was forward about was putting up blocks.
They grew close over a long period of time and got to know each other.
He would often be wittering on about something when she would suddenly ask what he thought of her hair.
He would answer and carry on talking.
It was a very evenly-balanced relationship and remarkable because it did not start sexually. They flirted from the beginning, even when Paul was flirting with Penny.
They have every chance of building a strong relationship once all the fuss dies down.
