YOU reported that British Telecom clocks up pounds 6million a year in fines because of illegal parking by its telephone engineers.

I have a solution. If BT staff had to pay their own fines I'm sure they'd take a little more care with where they parked. If it was a case of walking a few yards or paying a pounds 40 fine I know which I'd choose.

Six million pounds in fines is ridiculous. It's no wonder that BT's debt-ridden.
