Your turn
Aaron Palmer* I appreciated Paul Attner's article on the Mannings (TSN, March 22). In troubling times of steroid use, violence in sports and collegiate sex scandals, it's refreshing to hear about a family of athletes that represents the core values of true sportsmanship: hard work, dedication and a healthy desire to win.

* What in the name of Dean Smith is Charley Rosen (TSN, March 22) talking about? The NBA is full of spoiled brats who are paid a lot of money but can't even shoot 50 percent. Sure, the college game is slower, but at least the players seem to be enjoying themselves. College players actually earn their scholarships. Most NBA players do not earn their paychecks. AS for watching the Hawks play the Wizards, I would rather have a root canal.

* So Adrian Aucoin (TSN, March 22) thinks hockey players should police themselves on the ice? Why stop there? Football, baseball, basketball, soccer ... and why only the playing field? These athletes exist in a "different world" that "runs by its own rules." Randy Moss hits someone with a car? Well, let Ray Lewis determine his fate. Should Kobe Bryant go to prison? I don't know; let Allen Iverson decide. For every pro athlete who has a perspective of the world outside of sports, there are at least three who think the test of the world is inferior. Reality check, Adrian.

* Last fall, you picked my alma mater (Auburn) to win the national championship in football. In January, you predicted my Thrashers would climb back into the playoff race. Imagine my relief as an Astros fan to see the Cubs on the cover of your baseball preview issue (TSN, March 29). Steve Jones, Atlanta
* I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked at the chart in Stan McNeal's piece on the American League (TSN, March 29). I am no biased Yankees fan. I will give the Red Sox credit for their great rotation and improved defense, but saying the Red Sox have a better lineup than the Yankees is like saying Gigli is better than The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
