Your Letters: Reader's letter

I WAS interested to read Margaret Francis' letter last week suggesting that people donate money to help out their local zoos during the foot and mouth crisis. At a recent Colchester United football match, a fundraiser dressed up as a lion came round twice with a bucket to collect for our zoo. Colchester won the match... and everyone gave generously. Hundreds of pounds were raised to help the animals. What a good idea.
