Fearless forecast - NFL - Brief Article
Vinnie Iyer(FOX SPORTS) 1 p.m. ET: Seattle at Green Bay. Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren, defensive coordinator Ray Rhodes and quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will be fired up to face their former team, but so will the Packers' Ahman Green. Green's speed as a runner and receiver will take pressure off Brett Favre, neutralize Rhodes' aggressive scheme and allow Green Bay to control the tempo late in the game. Prediction: Packers 24, Seahawks 21.
(FOX SPORTS) 4:15 p.m. ET: Washington at Philadelphia. Donovan McNabb and the Eagles' offense are back on track, and that will get the team to .500 and back into NFC East contention with its first home win. On defense, the Eagles will be aggressive in rushing Patrick Ramsey and make it difficult for the Redskins' offense to get in sync on the road. Prediction: Eagles 20, Redskins 16.
Miami at N.Y. Giants. The Dolphins have the more powerful running gams with Ricky Williams, but the Giants' offense has much better balance. New York will contain Williams, and Miami's passing game won't be able to keep up. Prediction: Giants 27, Dolphins 19.
Denver at Kansas City. Arrowhead Stadium will be an important 12th man in this clash of unbeatens. The Chiefs will ride the energy of their home crowd to make more big plays on offense, defense and special teams early in the game. Priest Holmes then will limit the Broncos' comeback chances. Prediction: Chiefs 31, Broncos 20.
