THE company that controls Peugeot and Citroen have announced plans to put a diesel-electric Hybrid into production in 2010. The system was tested on two popular models, the Citroen C4 and Peugeot 307, by combining the Stop and Start semi-auto gearbox, electric motor and the 1.6 HDi common-rail diesel unit. The results in terms of emissions and economy were enough to convince the company.
