RearView Mirror: MOTORING - PORSCHE ON TOP

AUTOCAR magazine has reported that Porsche, the iconic German sports-car maker, has retained its position as the world's most profitable car maker.

Porsche sold 42,000 cars in the last six months, up 17 per cent. Porsche hopes to sell over 90,000 cars in 2006 and that the forthcoming S-Class rival called the Panamera will push that figure to more than 100,000 cars per annum.
