Woss snaps over Wice Kwispies ad

TV SMOOTHIE Jonathan Ross went snap, crackle and pop when he found out cereal giant Kellogg's planned to bring back this Rice Krispies advert starring him when he was 10.

The BBC presenter gets so embarrassed by the 1970 ad of him on a bicycle he wants to block it from being shown. It is part of a range of vintage Kellogg's ads being re-launched to celebrate the company's centenary.

Ross, host of Film 2006 and Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, thinks reruns of the ad will spoil his image. A TV insider said: "It's like a pride thing. But he doesn't have any of the rights, so I doubt he'll be able to stop them." Ross was also in an advert for Persil washing-up powder after his mum put him and his five siblings forward as child actors.

In 1997 the Radio 2 presenter - who has a lisp - appeared alongside Caprice in a Pizza Hut ad, where he seduced her with his pronunciation of words beginning with "R".

A spokesman for Kellogg's said: "One of the things we've been looking at for our centenary celebrations is old adverts. There are a fair few of them starring people who are now quite famous."
