Remember Cardinal years
Jeremiah Johnson, Medical Lake High SchoolI've walked the halls at Medical Lake High School for the past four years.
I've sat through the assemblies, listened to the lectures and watched other classes come and go, but this year is different. ... This year my friends and I are seniors.
We can all sense the end is near, yet no one has said anything (other then the usual like "Where are you going to school next year?").
We have been friends for so long, we know each other so well, and we surely will be sad to see each other go ... but we must.
One night of ceremony, congratulations and festivity is simply not a fitting end for Medical Lake High School's Class of 2000.
I keep trying to visualize us receiving our diplomas, tossing our caps and moving on with life, but these thoughts leave me feeling empty, like something is missing. Now I realize that this feeling comes from the realization that we will never be together again.
And knowing how way leads to way, I will probably have only a few of you as friends, but I will remember these times forever.
I have had a fabulous high school experience, and I'm sure most of my classmates would agree.
From the first day of our freshman year (with all the new sights, smells and people), to graduation night (which we will all surely remember), these have been special times.
And to my fellow graduates at Medical Lake High School, please remember these words and hold them close to your heart:
"When you wish upon a star, it makes no difference who you are. Anything your heart desires will come to you." - Disney.
