FOOTBALL: Moore is Burnley's loan star; MILLWALL 0 BURNLEY 2
STEVE GRIFFITHSBURNLEY boss Stan Ternent hailed on-loan winger Alan Moore and admitted he may have earned himself a permanent move to Turf Moor.
Moore, on a three-month loan from Middlesbrough, capped an impressive display with the second goal as his side maintained its 100 per cent start to the league season.
Ternent's side have raced out of the blocks in the first division promotion dash - winning three out of three.
And Republic of Ireland international Moore is playing a key role in his side's early season form.
Ternent said: "He is a top-quality player who has played international football and that is obvious in everything he does.
"I'll be sitting down with him to discuss a long term deal soon."
Ian Moore opened the scoring for the Clarets in the 63rd minute, thanks to some poor Millwall defending.
There seemed little danger when Millwall's Sean Dyche went to clear a loose ball on the edge of his penalty area.
But keeper Tony Warner came rushing out and collided with his defender - allowing Moore to roll the ball into an empty net from 10 yards for his first goal of the season.
And the Millwall defence were caught sleeping again just four minutes later.
Gareth Taylor was allowed to flick the ball towards Alan Moore and the on-loan star took advantage of acres of space in the penalty area to fire home off the far post.
Ternent was full of praise for his side's display in draining conditions and he is confident they can carry that form into tomorrow's home clash with Manchester City.
He said: "We defended well but they were very tough conditions to play in because it was so hot, but we always looked like we would score."
