YOU reported last week that fat cats plan to milk pounds 30billion a year from the NHS on the back of Tony Blair's promise to allow more private investment in public services.

This is exactly what privatisation is all about. It doesn't take a university don to realise that banks don't lend money for nothing.

So exactly how Blair's partnership in building hospitals is of benefit to the NHS, or more precisely the taxpayer, is a mystery. Already costs are spiralling out of control. But it doesn't matter now...Tony's cronies have five years to fudge the truth.
