can't be arsed
Richard WalkerCrunchie dessert, 100g, 69p from major supermarkets
THE makers of fruit corners have a lot to answer for. Before their arrival, you simply bought strawberry yoghurt. You never expected to have to mix it yourself.
Now Cadbury's have got in on the act with a range of puddings based on chocolate bars, may of which have some sort of do-it- yourself element. In the Crunchie variety, that means a large section of chocolate gloop waiting to get together with a smaller section of little crunchy things.
Be warned ... don't make the mistake of holding on to the crunchy things and dunking them in the chocolate. You will get in a terrible mess and have lots of chocolate gloop left over. Instead, simply tip them into the chocolate and eat with a spoon. Strangely, it tastes just like a Crunchie, but with the chocolate melted and left to go cold. A bit odd, really.
It's hard to see Crunchie fans really taking to the idea since the sweet is pretty much perfect in its original form but if you have spent years wondering how you could turn a chocolate bar into a pre- packaged dessert here's the answer.
