Gay Asian pioneers
Andy WongThank you for your article "Invisible No More" [March 15]. For the record I would like to clarify that recent efforts attributed to me to promote marriage equality in the Asian-American community were not mine alone or even mine to begin with. Indeed these efforts have been primarily driven by a visionary group of GLBT Asian-Americans in the San Francisco Bay area. And their efforts are part of an even broader effort by a number of Asian-Americans, from ACLU attorney Kenneth Choe in Oregon to Judge Doris Ling-Cohen in New York, helping to win equal marriage rights across the country.
