Bulsara dad flees Britain; EXCLUSIVE
DAVID NEWMANTHE father of Barry Bulsara, who goes on trial for the murder of TV presenter Jill Dando tomorrow, has fled to Australia to escape the media spotlight surrounding the case.
Former prison officer Alfred George, 70, and wife Barbara have quit their home in the tiny South Wales village of Treharris.
Jobless Bulsara, 40, is charged with shooting Crimewatch presenter Jill, 37, at point-blank range on the doorstep of her home in Fulham, in April 1999. He was arrested by police in May last year after a 13- month inquiry costing pounds 2million.
Bulsara's half-sister Maria Davies, 36, said: "Dad decided to go to Australia to get away from the pressure of the trial."
But Maria said she believed Bulsara's natural mother Margaret who lives in Acton, London, would be in court.
