YOUR VOICE: Reader's letter
S Peters LimerickI WOULD like to extend my deepest sympathy to the family of Eileen Doran.
Last week your paper told how doctors in Britain turned off her life support after a court ruling.
They said she was brain dead even though the family still believe she was communicating with them by blinking.
Surely in a case like this the family's wishes should be given prominence.
After all, even if she was brain dead the family could still have been comforted and it would have done her no harm.
