Finally, Jim Carrey stops trying to prove he's a dramatic actor and gets back to what he does best--comedy. Almighty is a be-happy-with-what-you've-got parable about a reporter (Carrey) who constantly questions why God (Morgan Freeman) has it in for him. Fed up with the scribe's whining, God responds by giving him His powers for 24 hours. Expect Carrey to pack every one of them with as much shtick as possible.
