Letter: Readers Letter

AS an animal lover I was both sickened and outraged at your report and photographs last week of the Queen battering a pheasant to death with her walking stick.

If the poor bird had not been blasted with a shotgun in the first place there would have been no need for this act of savagery by our so-called Sovereign. We are now in the 21st Century, so isn't it about time the royals put an end to this cruel and pointless "sport" and took up a proper hobby instead.
