Arabian Peninsula - Brief Article
Pauline ThomasIn April '99 we began a 32-day trip to Iran, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Djibouti, Yemen and Eritrea.
Since, we like to travel independently with our own car, driver and guide, it is often difficult to find a company to coordinate everything required for an itinerary to the less-traveled parts of the world. Bestway Tours & Safaris (103-3540 W. 41st Ave., Vancouver, B.C., V6N 3E6 Canada; phone 800/663-0844, or visit www.bestway.com) took care of our requirements in such a manner that the results were most memorable.
Our guides in each country were very capable, speaking acceptable English and willingly complying with our desires to see things and places that were of the most interest to us, often suggesting additional places that fit our unique interests.
All of the arrangements included hotel stays with breakfast, usually two or three nights in each city; car and driver; guide; air transportation between cities and the visas for Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman. They also expedited our receiving the visas for the other four; countries. The total cost was $6,795. per person.
We are more than happy to recommend Bestway, especially their tour executive Ms. Chi Pham, for their diligence and cooperation in implementing our extensive plans to see so many diverse countries and cultures.
