Ireland's Cliffs of Moher are an awesome sight
David DouglasIreland's Cliffs of Moher are an awesome sight. They form a continuous cliff wall several hundred feet high stretching for miles. These cliffs are nesting sites for a variety of birds, and to see them flying over the ocean to a perch in a rocky crevasse or a jutting rock is a marvelous spectacle.
Prior to walking the cliffs (there was a parking fee), we'd been advised to stop for lunch at Liscannor, a quaint, charming fishing village a few miles away. There, we had the most excellent fish chowder of our trip. (July '97)--DAVID DOUGLAS, Asheville, NC
