When he's not stalking a local soccer player or working at the Bulle, Switzerland, chocolate factory, 20-year-old Loic (Pierre Chatagny), spends his time scouring the Internet for male sex partners. Loic struggles with his sexuality--at one point he even tells a liaison that he isn't gay anymore. It is these "coming of age" scenes that translate well, despite, at times, heavy-handed direction. Especially for a first feature, Garcon Stupide makes Baler someone to watch.
