I WAS amused to read that author Cecelia Ahern, 24, is planning to support her father the Taoiseach in his old age.

Bertie Ahern is a lucky man to have such a devoted and kind multi- millionaire daughter.

Unfortunately, most of us will struggle to make ends meet as pensioners in Rip-Off Ireland.

After reading last week's article, I am praying that my four- year-old will learn how to bang out a few corny love stories.

With the disastrous economic policies of this Government, it looks like she is my best hope for a comfortable retirement.
