OH blimey! Were a couple of old romantics and as soon as we saw this cottage we fell in love with it. As much as we usually favour new over old we couldnt help but be seduced by this cute as pie property, which has benefited from sympathetic internal modernisation. OK, so the roof looks a bit cock-eyed but with older properties such as this its often the case that theyve done all the moving theyre going to do and pose no further threat of budging further. However and its a BIG however wed always recommend a survey before buying a property like this.

Were impressed by the internal space (especially for a house that is essentially a cottage) but we love the pretty-as-a-picture cottage garden with its inbuilt automated irrigation system that even manages to quench the thirst of the hanging baskets and window boxes. Talk about energy saving; with the twist of a tap and the push of a button your pansies will be treated to a much needed drink while you settle in the manicured rear garden with a glass of wine.

Sospace, refit, function and form all wrapped up in that beautiful facade. The lucky buyers of this ancient property will be securing themselves a little piece of history but without any of the downsides that are normally associated with period drama.
