THE world witnessed an unbelievable outpouring of emotion and strong demand for an end to poverty in Africa at last Saturday's concert in Hyde Park.

The Sunday Mirror's headline "Day the World Became One" summed up the event very aptly.

It was a brilliantly orchestrated venture and shamed the world's leaders into action at the G8 summit.

The little man in the street has done his bit. Now it's up to these powerful men to really make poverty history.
