big bang, The
Johnson, Norman EBullets are more powerful than you may think he power of a moving bullet is beyond the belief of the average person. The lowly, little .22 long-rifle bullet will shoot through several pine boards and fly more than a mile through the air. A high-power rifle bullet will travel more than 3 miles. Some high-velocity bullets will shoot through a 10-inch pine. A light, 50-grain copper-and-lead bullet fired from a factory .220 Swift cartridge will penetrate a half-inch of steel.
Knowledge of a bullet's power beyond its target is a hunter's responsibility. -Norman E. Johnson
