I WAS horrified to read about the sad story of little Tristan Dowse and appalled that he has been treated so callously by his adoptive parents and the Irish government.

Children should not be left at the mercy of such people who think they can just return them like faulty goods to a supermarket.

Joe Dowse and his wife should be taken to task over the whole sorry affair.
