I SEE that, according to a poll, 71 per cent of the UK public joined the rest of the world in condemning Prince Harry's wearing of a Nazi uniform at a party. I have little time for the royals but I'm puzzled by the depth of the attack on him. After all, it was only fancy dress.

He was not making a speech before thousands of blackshirts at a Nazi rally. Even Charlie Chaplin dressed up as a fascist dictator in one of his films and he was thought to be quite funny.
