ROAD RAGE MAN HURT
MATTHEW COOPERA MAN was fighting for his life last night after being thrown from the bonnet of a car which had carried him along for 350 yards.
The 69-year-old, who has not been named, suffered serious head injuries in the apparent "road rage" attack, which followed a minor bump between his van and a Vauxhall Vectra.
Police said the victim was standing in front of the Vectra in Washwood Heath, Birmingham, when the driver sped off, forcing him to cling to the bonnet. A local man in his early 20s was yesterday arrested in connection with the incident.
The victim was last night in critical condition in Heartlands Hospital as police appealed for witnesses.
-TWO teenagers , both 18, were killed when their car ploughed into a stationary lorry parked in a lay-by on the A1 at Newcastle-upon- Tyne.
