Michelle: YOUR LETTERS: It's time to protect the Damilolas of this

WE shudder with fear as we read about the North Peckham estate where 10-year-old Damilola Taylor died. But this is 21st-Century Britain. We as a a nation help so many other countries, but seem blind to our own problems. Damilola's terrible murder is impossible to understand and our hearts go out to his loving family.

We share their loss and grief - but this means nothing unless something is done to improve the lives of people living in such deprived conditions.
