IT is heartbreaking that Jack and Patricia Conroy had to bury their young son last week.

It is the most devastating thing any parent must do and my thoughts are with them at this difficult time. It is a horrific thing that Darragh's life was taken so brutally from him in such a horrific way.

It is terrifying how violent Irish society has got and how little value is put on life.
