AirTran Airways introduces Airpath Wireless Internet Service - New Products and Services - Brief Article
Low-fare airline AirTran Airways (a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings) has signed a contract with Airpath Wireless, Inc., a full-service high-speed broadband wireless Internet service provider, to offer passengers high-speed wireless Internet service at the gate. Currently, several AirTran Airways' destinations offer the new service, including Atlanta, Washington Dulles, Baltimore/Washington, Boston and Philadelphia.
It's easy to get started using AirPath's service, which is available in a variety of service packages for the needs of different travelers. The wireless card, which works like a modem does, can be purchased for as little as $79.00, with two hours of free service included. Additional time can be purchased for as little as $2.95 an hour -- as low as $1.95 per hour with certain packages.
Wireless cards can be sent overnight to customers for their convenience. If the traveler already has a card, or would prefer to sign up for the service while at the boarding gate area, they simply log onto the Airpath Wireless portal at http://portal.airpathwireless.com.
