I just read Cynthia Clover's interesting "Counter Culture" article (November 2003) on Veg-City Diner. Whenever I visit New York, I go to my favorite vegetarian hangout, The Red Bamboo, in the West Village. I enjoy their wonderful service, cozy ambience and exceptional food quality, notably their unique all-vegetarian Soul "Chicken," Cajun Fried "Shrimps" and Philly "Steak."
