Are you ready for takeoff?
Watson, BillBefore you float your boat, review this prelaunch checklist
Be sure the drain plug is installed. Unplug the trailer lights to avoid shorting.
Remove the tiedowns.
Lower a pickup's tailgate for an easier shot at placing your boat into the water.
Be sure the outboard motor is raised to keep it from scraping bottom as the boat enters the water.
Untangle the bow and stern lines and place them where they can be easily tossed to the dock.
Make sure the winch is locked so the boat won't be prematurely dropped onto the ramp.
Yes, they're basic. But forget to do just one and the easy task of launching could end up taking even more of your time.-B.W
