D HunterYET again we see a huge compensation payout when far more deserving cases are overlooked.
My husband was in a security van which was raided by armed robbers and a shotgun was held to his head. He never received a penny in compensation for this ordeal, which anybody would agree was traumatic.
He was told the only way he could have claimed compensation would be to say that he could not sleep or function due to the raid. He refused and got on with his life. He told me, "They didn't get compensation in the trenches and they managed to cope, surely I can cope with this."
