Need A Sub? Call A Temp - temporary employees may be available as substitute teachers - Brief Article
Brian Hanson-HardingThe next time you call in sick, your school may call in a "temp" instead of a traditional substitute teacher. Michigan-based staffing firm Kelly Services knows that with the growing teacher shortage, subs are becoming harder and harder to find-and the company has made its move. It has recently announced the national launch of Kelly Educational Staffing. Its purpose: to recruit and train substitute teachers, making it the first staffing agency to go national in the substitute teacher business. The service has a hand-book full of tips for the subs it trains, from how to come up with activities when regular teacher hasn't left a lesson plan to how to maintain control of a rowdy class.
