Those of us who were pioneers in work-life have watched Chris Kjeldsen's career at Johnson & Johnson with the greatest admiration. Since 1989, Chris has been a gutsy leader, opening model childcare centers before anyone else even thought of doing so, helping amend J&J's nearly-sacred credo so it alluded to employees' family responsibilities, investing huge amounts of his own time in the ABC coalition to make a difference in the lives of caregivers, and pushing others to do the same. Chris Kjeldsen passed away last month. His shoes will be impossible to fill; we will continue to be inspired by his accomplishments.
