Cancer is a constant companion in this world of sin. It's how well we're able to fight the disease that draws the line between those who will hear those solemn words and those who won't.
We're all victims of heredity, the environment, lifestyle choices, stress, dietary decisions, exercise levels--elements that directly affect our body's ability, to combat cancer. That's why some people who are diagnosed with the disease beat it at its own game, and some don't. My father won the battle ... twice, and is living cancer-free. My mother wasn't so fortunate.
So, what can this special issue of Vibrant Life offer you? Information honest, real-world, no-holds-barred information you can use to fight this terrible foe. Information to help you stay in the ring as long as possible. Information that reminds you that you're not alone in your battle. Your heavenly Father is right by your side, offering comfort, courage, and hope.
Is there universal agreement on how best to fight cancer for life? No. While there are proven foundational guidelines--especially when it comes to diet and exercise--that seem to work for most people, the weapons you use to wage your war might differ from those used by your neighbor, friend, or family member. That's why I've placed a variety, of opinions and suggestions within these pages.
Please read each article carefully. Ask God to fill your mind with what you need to know'. Then, live confident that the battle is yours to win either on this earth, or in the world to come.
