Enfora and Esemde partner to bring GPRS and SMS solutions to vertical markets - Business - Brief Article

Esemde, an MVNO for wireless data applications, has formed a Strategic Alliance with Enfora designed to enable the delivery of GPRS and SMS wireless solutions to multiple vertical markets. Under the terms of this agreement, Enfora and Esemde will promote Esemde's wireless application services through jointly working with application developers to enable solutions utilizing Enfora's Enabler series of embedded GSM/GPRS modules and Enfora's Wireless Portfolio as development platforms. Initial target applications will include telematics and telemetry applications, and future applications will include location-based services including turn-by-turn directions.

Esemde currently provides GPRS/SMS services for North America and is currently expanding its coverage to South America. Esemde provides access to wireless data networks allowing developers, value-added resellers and integrators to initially test and then rapidly deploy their applications allowing them to generate revenue quickly. For carriers, Esemde provides delivery of aggregated data via the Esemde patent pending Esemde Peering Point (EPP), driving increased network usage and additional revenue.
