TILL (AS IN SUPERSTORE) DEATH US DO PART ...
SIMON WHEELERTRACY and Wayne Bowler made their wedding vows after walking up the aisle...of a supermarket.
Hundreds of startled shoppers yesterday witnessed the happy couple saying "I do" at the Asda store in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts.
The bizarre ceremony - Britain's first-ever supermarket wedding - was top prize in a Valentine's Day contest run by ASDA to find the country's most romantic shoppers.
Tracy, 33, and Wayne, 34, had earlier exchanged vows at a register office but said the supermarket blessing made it "an extra special day". Mother- of-four Tracy said: "I entered the competition as a bit of a laugh but I was serious about getting married."
Contest judges were impressed with the romantic message she left for Wayne on the store's noticeboard. The prize included the wedding dress, car, flowers and a three-day honeymoon in the Lake District.
