CLAIRE COLLINSIT'S the sale of the century for cinema buffs. Movie and TV memorabilia from the most famous films and programmes of all time are being auctioned by Christie's in New York next month. There will be 190 lots, owned by studios and individuals, up for sale. They include items from legendary movies like Gone With The Wind, Sunset Boulevard, Ben Hur, Wizard Of Oz, Seven-Year Itch and Titanic. The top price of pounds 500,000 is expected to be paid for the ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in the Wizard Of Oz, made in 1939. The second most expensive item will be the Cowardly Lion's costume from the same film, fetching around pounds 400,000. Sarah Hodgson, of Christie's in London, said: "Some of the items are so rare that buyers in film collector circles are going to be falling over themselves to get hold of them."
