Title feast of Stephen
JOHN DEEWORLD champion Stephen Hendry has great rival Steve Davis' record of 73 major titles in his sights.
Hendry, who won the Liverpool Victoria Champions Cup two weeks ago, is within two titles of the record and admits : "I've got my eye on that one as well as regaining the No.1 world ranking."
The 30 year old Scot, trying to win the British Open title in Plymouth for the first time since 1991, will take over as provisional No.1 if he reaches the final.
Hendry was shocked when quarter-final casualty, John Higgins, admitted he hadn't been working hard enough.
"He is at the peak of his powers now - when I was his age I wanted to practise and play as much as possible," said Hendry.
