Leonidas buys Slovakian firm - confectioner Deva de Trebisov - Brief Article
Belgian company Leonidas, producer of pralines and other confectionery, has purchased Slovakian-based confectioner Deva de Trebisov, in a deal worth a reported BFr100m (2.47m [European Dollar]). Leonidas, with an annual turnover of BFr2.5bn, intends to re-launch Deva's products under the Leonidas name. Deva suspended production of confectionery in January of this year due to crushing debts totalling 7m [European Dollar]. The Slovakian firm was declared bankrupt in April of this year.
